You love riding a Motorcycle, but you also like a certain level of comfort and soaking up the culture of the places you visit? Then this is the tour for you! Breathtaking scenery in the Nubra Valley, the "Valley of Flowers", high Himalayan peaks, the Hindu myth born on Mount Kailash, monasteries that bear witness to centuries gone by, typical villages... all bathed in Buddhist and Tibetan culture. Here you are, riding your Royal Enfield on comfortable tracks, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views, enjoying timeless moments that you won't soon forget!
You will be met at the airport by one of our guides, who will accompany you to the hotel in the centre of our capital, Delhi. Free time to roam the city.
We will leave for the airport after breakfast for your flight to Leh, where you will be met by your French-speaking guide. He will introduce you to the various stages of your journey. At the end of the day, you will be able to soak up the atmosphere and relax.
We set off along the Kargil road, heading for Kashmir. Nearly 70 km later, we reach the small village of Alchi to visit its monastery, one of the oldest in the Ladakh region. Standing on the banks of the Indus, the Alchi monastery is renowned for its beautiful 11th-century paintings. We then continue along the mythical Indus River to Tesmigram, a prosperous village with a monastery-palace.
We'll take the road to Lamayuru (3,700 m), a monastery perched on a rock overlooking a magical valley with a variety of relief. The old part of the monastery was built in the 11th century and we return to Temisgam by a slightly different route. Depending on our time of return, we may be able to climb up to the monastery where young llamas are trained.
We ride along the banks of the Indus, the mythical river that rises from Mount Kailash, watched over by the Zanskar mountain range. We'll ride up the river over two easy passes at an altitude of 4,000 m, passing through typical Ladakhi and Yangtang villages. There are plenty of vantage points to take extraordinary photos. Before reaching Leh, we will make a stop at the Likir monastery.
A pass suitable for motor vehicles at an altitude of 5,350 metres? Yes, we'll reach Khardung La via a road that will give you the fantastic impression of being on a Motorcycle circuit. You'll be blown away by the panoramic views over the Zanskar and Karakoram ranges. Take advantage of this moment to engrave these grandiose landscapes in your memories.
A restful day where we can take full advantage of the sumptuous landscapes of the Nubra Valley, the ancient silk route to Central Asia. Also known as Ldumra, the "Valley of Flowers", this valley offers the chance, weather permitting, to hike through its grand landscapes and take a dip in its waterfalls.
One last challenge to end this adventure on a high note! Following a fairly good road, we will reach the Wari La pass, perched at an altitude of 5,300 m, where we will have a picnic far from civilization. Depending on how the day progresses, we can visit the Thiksey monastery, 19 km from Leh. This Tibetan-style monastery, founded over 600 years ago, overlooks the entire Indus valley. It is one of the largest in Ladakh.
Goodbye Himalayas! We'll be leaving you with a heavy heart, but a head full of memories... Early in the morning, we'll catch our flight back to the capital. Transfer to the hotel.
Your room is booked until 10am, so you can get ready for your transfer to Delhi airport, depending on your flight schedule.
